The Green Bay Packers have re-signed running back Christine Michael, ESPN’s Field Yates reports.
The Packers claimed Michael off waivers on Nov. 16 to help offset the loss of Eddie Lacy and James Starks to injuries.
Lacy signed this offseason with the Seattle Seahawks. Starks was released by the Packers.
Other than a 42-yard touchdown run against the Bears in Week 15, Michael was little more than a change-of-pace back who spelled Ty Montgomery at times.
Seattle selected Michael in the second round of the 2013 draft, one spot after Green Bay picked Lacy.
Michael, 26, had two separate stints with the Seahawks, sandwiched around a short stay with Dallas.
In 37 career games, he has averaged 4.3 yards per carry with seven rushing touchdowns.
