The Green Bay Packers have claimed former Chicago Bears defensive tackle Ego Ferguson off of waivers, ESPN’s Field Yates reports.
Ferguson, a second-round draft pick out of LSU in 2014, was waived by the Bears last week. He missed the entire 2016 season following shoulder surgery and also missed 12 games in 2015 with a knee injury.
Over three seasons Ferguson has played in 20 games, recording 27 tackles and two sacks.
In Green Bay Ferguson will compete for a spot in the rotation with Mike Daniels, Kenny Clark, Ricky Jean Francois and Dean Lowry with Letroy Guion set to serve a four-game suspension to open next season.
