Cleveland Browns wide receiver Josh Gordon is scheduled to be back at the team’s training facility Tuesday, after being conditionally reinstated, by the NFL.
According to ESPN’s Adam Schefter, the Browns are hoping Gordon can be ready to play in time for their Week 13 game against the Los Angeles Chargers in Los Angeles on Dec. 3.
Gordon, 26, has not played in a game since Dec. 21, 2014. He had been suspended indefinitely since September 2016 without pay for multiple violations of the NFL’s substance abuse policy, missing a total of 56 games.
The league announced Wednesday that Gordon may join the Browns starting Tuesday to attend meetings and engage in conditioning work and individual workouts.
Gordon will be permitted to practice with the Browns starting Nov. 20, and he will be eligible to return to active status Nov. 27.
