The Detroit Lions and Indianapolis Colts will practice together before they play each other in their preseason opener at Lucas Oil Stadium on Aug. 13.
It’s the second straight year the Lions will have joint practices; they traveled to Latrobe, Pennsylvania, for two days of work with Pittsburgh last year.
The Colts are holding training camp at their facility for the first time since 1984 and have previously announced the practices at their facility will be closed to the public. Two off-site practices will be open for fans. It’s not yet known if either of Detroit’s practices with Indianapolis will be moved to an off-site, open location.
This also means Lions fans will likely have fewer chances to see their team practice for the second straight season since a couple of early-camp practices will be on the road.
