Atlanta Falcons wide receiver Julio Jones, who is listed as questionable for Sunday’s game against the Pittsburgh Steelers due to a hip injury, will be inactive and not play, ESPN’s Ed Werder reports.
According to Werder, Jones was expected to test his injured hip prior to the game, but when receivers coach Terry Robiskie arrived to the field to observe the receiver, he was still being attended to by trainers.
Jones has an injury to the labrum of his hip and is still in extreme pain, making it impossible for him to go today.
Harry Douglas is likely to see a bigger role on offense with Jones sidelined. The Falcons will be facing a Steelers defense yielding 248.5 passing yards per game. Pittsburgh has also allowed 26 passing touchdowns in 13 games.
