Matt Moore is back under center for the Miami Dolphins after starting quarterback Jay Cutler left Sunday’s game against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers after suffering a concussion.
He was hit on the final play of the first half and remained in the locker room after halftime. Moore replaced Cutler to start the third quarter.
The Dolphins later announced Cutler was done for the day, confirming the concussion.
Cutler was 6-of-12 passing for 83 yards, one touchdown and three interceptions before leaving a game that was clearly his worst of the season.
This is the second time Moore has replaced Cutler this season. Cutler also broke multiple ribs earlier this season, causing him to miss one game.
The Dolphins signed Cutler to a one-year, $10 million contract in August to replace former starting quarterback Ryan Tannehill, who suffered a season-ending knee injury.
