Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce will not return to Saturday’s AFC Wild-Card matchup against the Tennessee Titans due to a concussion he sustained after taking a helmet-to-helmet hit.
The second-team All-Pro entered the concussion protocol after catching a 12-yard pass over the middle late in the second quarter. As he was going to the ground Titans defensive back Johnathan Cyprien tried to lay a shoulder into him, but their helmets collided, which left Kelce stunned.

Kelce had a difficult time getting to his feet after the hit, as he was unsteady after standing.
Officials called for the training staff, who attended to Kelce.

Kelce did walk off the field under his own power, before running the final 10-15 yards to the sideline. He’s pumped his fist after watching a completion before being taken to locker room. He was later ruled out.
