Carson Wentz goes shooting with Eagles’ offensive line

Philadelphia quarterback Carson Wentz bought high-end Beretta shotguns for his O-line for Christmas. They were still in the process of being customized at the time, but have since come in.

Wentz, a big hunting enthusiast, spent Tuesday bonding with his O-line over guns and steak.

Jason Kelce, Isaac Seumalo, Allen Barbre and Dillon Gordon (wearing a throwback jersey from his LSU days) appear to be among those pictured. Seumalo admitted upon receiving Wentz’s gift that he hadn’t held a gun before, but “Carson said he’d teach me how to use it and all that good stuff.”

It appears Wentz stayed true to his word.

Wentz spends a good portion of his downtime with a gun in his hands, it seems. He was lying in a cornfield hunting geese when he got the call saying he would be the team’s starter after Sam Bradford was traded to the Minnesota Vikings. We also learned that he went hunting with baseball star Mike Trout at one point last year.

This offseason has been no different. Wentz has a YouTube channel called “Wentz Bros Outdoors” that shows him and members of his inner circle doing everything from dusting clay pigeons to shooting snow geese in Arkansas.

There’s even one of Wentz bow-hunting deer during a couple down days last season.

As the offensive linemen are learning, if you’re hanging with Wentz outside of football, there’s at least a decent chance that a firearm is involved.
