The Arizona Cardinals have signed center/guard Tony Bergstrom to a one-year contract, the team announced on Wednesday.
The 6-foot-5, 315 pound Bergstrom played 15 games for Houston last season and was released by the Texans on April 13. He spent his first four NFL seasons with Oakland, playing 26 games after being drafted in the 2012 third round out of the University of Utah.
He joins a team that just drafted a pair of offensive linemen – guard Dorian Johnson and tackle Will Holden. With Evan Boehm currently slated as the first-string right guard, however, there is an opening to have another center around behind starter A.Q. Shipley.
Including Bergstrom and the undrafted rookie free agents the team agreed to terms with, the Cardinals now have 16 offensive linemen on the roster.
